Do it yourself projects are all the rage now thanks to websites like Pintrest. These projects allow you to recycle your outdated fashion and make them into something new and trendy. Plus the ideas are endless, type DIY fashion into basically any search bar and you’ll find hundreds of ideas. The best part is you don’t usually have to buy the materials needed for the craft; you can use materials around the house that you don’t use or wear anymore.
Cutting shirts is super popular. You can change a plain t-shirt into a stylish top that you can add fabric to or layer over a bandeau. A lot of the projects require little to no sewing. I’ve seen a lot of girls wear these to school sporting events, just take a big team t-shirt and cut/tie/sew it into a dress. Or get a plain shirt or sweatshirt and sew a pocket on it in colorful fabric. There are so many possibilities.
